KINGSTON, Ont. (February 8, 2010) – Dave Mitchell steps down as head coach of SLC Women’s soccer, citing increased personal and professional commitments as the reason for his sudden departure.

“Dave has been a committed part of our coaching staff at St. Lawrence College Athletics and while we are sorry to see him go, I certainly understand his reasons for leaving us.” stated Brad Greenwood, Tri-Campus Athletic Director. “He runs a successful local company and he needs to focus time and attention in that direction. We wish him all the best,”

For the remainder of the Indoor Soccer season Greenwood has appointed Natasha Agaoglu, an instructor in the Fitness and Health Promotion program at St. Lawrence College, as interim coach.

The Women’s Indoor team will compete at the Eastern Regional’s on Friday March 5th.

A full search for a new head coach will begin shortly. All enquiries regarding women’s soccer on the Kingston Campus can be directed to Brad Greenwood at bgreenwood@sl.on.ca
