PETERBOROUGH, Ont. (Tuesday, March 02, 2010) - St. Lawrence College (SLC) will have strong representation at the 2010 Ontario College Athletic Association (OCAA) East Regional Indoor Soccer tournament this weekend.

On Friday, March 5th the two-day tournament to decide the eastern representatives for the OCAA Championship begins, with all three SLC Campuses participating.

The eastern division is comprised of four teams in both the men's and women's category. With all three campuses competing, and the top two men's and women's team advancing, it is a guarantee that at least one campus will represent SLC for both the men and women at the OCAA Championship.

The round-robin tournament begins on Friday at 11:00am with the Brockville (Schooners) women's team taking on the host Fleming College followed by a match-up between the Brockville men's team and Fleming at 11:50pm.

The inter-campus competition then begins with the Kingston (Vikings) taking on the Cornwall (Sharks) in both women's and men's action at 12:40pm and 1:30pm respectively.

The Vikings quickly turn around and play the Schooners following their match up against the Sharks before Fleming takes on Cornwall to finish day-one at 4:00pm and 4:50pm.

Championship Saturday beings again at 11:00am with the Schooners and the Sharks rounding out the inter-campus competition while the Vikings finish the tournament off against the host Fleming College.

The top two teams from both the men's and women's sides will earn the right to represent the East at the OCAA Championships, which will be held at the Ontario Soccer Association (OSA) Centre in Vaughn, Ont., March 25th -26th.
