KINGSTON, Ont. (September 6, 2010) – The St. Lawrence College Athletics department has signed a three-year agreement with Big Kahuna Sports Company, Tri-campus Athletic Director Brad Greenwood announced today. The deal will run through the 2010-13 seasons, making Big Kahuna Sports the sole uniform and apparel provider for St. Lawrence's Kingston, Cornwall and Brockville varsity athletic teams.
“Our partnership with Big Kahuna Sports Company is yet another positive step forward for our tri-campus athletic operations at SLC,” Greenwood said. “Their specialized experience in serving the college and university athletic market is extensive and the programs, quality, and pricing they bring to the equation are impressive. I look forward to working with Big Kahuna to bring consistency and a professional look and feel to the athletic apparel our athletes and coaches will wear while representing our school.”
This agreement marks the first ever department-wide athletic apparel agreement at St. Lawrence. The partnership provides SLC Athletics direct access to brand names including, but not limited to, adidas, Under Armour, Mizuno, Lionheart Rugby, Russell, Baden and Spalding. For the 2010-11 season, all varsity teams' equipment and apparel will be provided by adidas and Under Armour, with the ability to exercise further options for the remainder of the contract.
Big Kahuna Sports has been the Official Retailer of the Canadian Colleges Athletic Association (CCAA) for the past five years.
